Pizza Dough {2 ingredients!}

Pizza Dough (5)

I used to buy pizza bases. They were fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with them. Until I made one. Suddenly, the bought bases tasted like cardboard!

I usually make pizza bases using yeast so that they are more bready but sometimes time (my hunger) doesn’t permit waiting around for the dough to rise. So this week I thought I would try something new. In my hunt for a yeast free pizza base this kept popping up…2 ingredient pizza dough using only…wait for it…self-raising flour & greek yoghurt! It sounded too good to be true but I figured it was worth a shot.

It was worth it. It was totally worth it. Worth the whole 5 minutes of effort it took to throw it together. The base was thin & crispy and held up really well even with the ridiculous amount of toppings I put on it!Ā

It couldn’t be easier. Add self raising flour to a bowl.

Pour in greek yoghurt

Mix until it starts to come together

At this point, you’ll need to get your hands dirty, coz that dough ain’t gonna knead itself! Knead it for about 5 minutes until it is nice and soft.

Pizza dough (4)

Roll out into whatever size and thickness pizza you like. I rolled mine quite thin and it ended up making a 12″ pizza.

Top with pizza sauce

And bake at 180 degrees celcius for about 20 minutes until the cheese is golden & bubbly. This may have been a little too long!

Pizza Dough (9)

If you have the willpower of a saint you will leave the pizza to sit for 5 minutes so that you don’t burn your mouth. But if you like pizza as much as we do, that is such a ridiculous suggestion you will forget I even mentioned it.
